Spring Retreat for the past four years has been known to stir up the Revival Spirit among this generation. Worship is a huge part of the retreat. We worship each night together with a full worship band and sing together each morning before our devotion time to start our day! It’s a refreshing time that stirs the Spirit in each heart so we can tune into what God has for us each that weekend.

Each year the messages are tuned into the level of teenagers and young adults in the room together. This year’s theme is “Becoming.” We are believing that through each message delivered and the Word that each person will receive the call to become pure, holy, and full of the Spirit of God before they leave the weekend. It is our desire to see your teenagers full of the Holy Spirit and walking in the plan that God has for them each day. Who are they becoming for the Lord?

While worship services and amazing messages from the Word of God are a huge part of the retreat, so is the parties and fun! Each night we will have a party atmosphere planned with a certain theme that will keep the mood of relationships, excitement and memories to be made. These parties are not just food and playing dress up. It’s a party for those students to let their hair down and to enjoy those relationships they have only began to create. Lifetime memories will be made together through our parties, games, loop discussions and competitions. The fun is just beginning.

If you are a young adult up to age 25 you may go as well either as a volunteer or as a student but you will be placed in a cabin with your age group only. If you go as a volunteer it must be approved through the Youth Pastor and a background check is required. All friends of your student that are between these ages are welcome to attend as well. They must register and pay the rate and abide by our youth ministries guidelines. A parent or guardian must approve of them attending.

Will there be any extra costs? No, your rate of $100 covers it all. They will not need any spending money on this weekend trip.

What are Loops? In our youth ministry each month we gather in small groups two times a month to discuss the topics we have been discussing together. These groups are co-ed and have two leaders assigned to each one. They meet together to discuss the topic, build relationships and help them grow in their faith. If your student does not have a loop they will be assigned to one for the retreat to participate in for the weekend.

Will my child have to miss any school? Yes, they will only need to miss May 5th, that Friday of school. We can give you a school excuse (religious excuse) to give to teachers or faculty. By law your child can miss school and make up work missed because of a religious function that they are involved in.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_button title=”REGISTER ” target=”_self” color=”btn-inverse” icon=”wpb_arrow” size=”btn-large” href=” http://flwc.org/register-spring-retreat-2017/”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
